Many people follow a set routine... be that pertaining to a social, religious or spiritual aspect or a sports practice.......Some religiously follow a practice which can be a social service event or a daily visit to a religious place or getting up early in the morning at a particular fixed time.....
It is definitely very difficult to follow one particular path daily without fail. With passing time one does acquire the ability to follow that more conveniently and of course with a decreased effort with each passing day.
Well here if we try to analyze the state of mind, body and spirit at the onset of following a set difficult routine when one is preparing oneself into following a set routine.....What happens....one needs lots of energy and motivation. One falls many times. Every failure teaches a lesson if one still insists on that particular path. One needs more energy mentally as well as physically. The expansion of energy is further enhancing at this stage.
As the habit of a daily practice develops....What happens now.... no longer much effort has to be put in.Things get automatically followed. No stretching of energy is required. One starts enjoying the comfort zone. And also a vice that is ego silently creeps in.The person starts feeling superior to others.
Here two aspects start...one no further elevation in the output due to lack of expansion of energy...
second energy depletion due to enhanced ego.
This stage hinders further progress in every field one intends to elevate oneself in.....
Then how to not let ego come in the way.....
Over the years have found that if one takes very short breaks in between the daily routine pattern one follows it rather gives better results....like not to follow it say once or twice a week....
This practice doesn't let the ego enhance and so further stops positive energy depletion.....Ego chapter gets stabilized.
Secondly after every break one starts with new increased energy and intent...so a constant in flow of positive energy remains for further progress to the desired goal.......
