JOY OF THE JOURNEY

A journey or the destination, what gives joy for a longer period. What gives sustained, although not very smooth waves of pleasure for a longer period of time.

The time spent in a path is generally longer than that single moment we experience after reaching a destination and if we are not aware we lose the joy of enjoying the path. A constant search for the positive end result steals the small and big happiness associated with small and big achievements during the travel.

My last journey gave me a chance to watch a young mother struggling with her small baby, in taking care of her.Sometimes the stress could be seen clearly on her face, her body language and her speech.
This stage of baby will never come back again to be enjoyed and she definitely forgets that her stage is bracketed for the time being only and so agitates, mentally and physically too.The only thing that remains of the moment will be the sweet or sour memory. The baby surely grows with every passing day. This time will definitely flow further, faster than can be realised, like a flowing river,  never to return to the same terrain.

Living the joy of the moment can never be relived again, once that moment passes. They become good or bad memories and also the past. Experience is in that very moment only, rest is all history.

Each and every moment of life gives a good or bad experience.Good experiences are enjoyable for sure, still many a times we miss on that also. Bad experiences have their own swings which do enrich the life.

The land scape that i could enjoy while travelling is also equally beautiful if compared with the final destination, then why not to enjoy the journey too.Why to look for the final destination only or positive achievements only, for generating happiness to overcome all other emotions.

Reaching a goal is very important, but equally important is in what kind of mental disposition we traverse the track.
The in-between time taken can many a times be not shortened by will. So why to lose the joy of these passing moments.

Our mind needs a constant feed back of well-being to remain comfortable. Why not to provide ourselves the feeling of fulfilment daily at every moment. All that is around us has a potential to cause a real contented feeling, the need is to feel the joy hidden in that moment......Rest depends on us.
Do we have the potential to steal those moments instead of looking for that single moment only.....
